01

The basics

What is Vow?

Vow is a shared wallet being designed for people who do life together. Friends, couples, housemates, families and groups can contribute, plan and see shared spending from one clear place.

Is Vow another expense-splitting app?

No. Traditional splitting apps calculate who owes whom after someone has already paid. Vow is designed around funding shared plans together, so the group has visibility before, during and after the moment.

Who is Vow for?

Vow is for friends, couples, housemates, families and other groups sharing trips, homes, celebrations, events, projects and everyday plans.

How many people can be in a group?

For the first version, we’re designing Vow primarily around small groups. Exact limits will depend on the final financial infrastructure and beta design.

02

Money & contributions

Does everyone have to contribute the same amount?

No. Each person can contribute the amount agreed by the group. Vow is designed to keep track of who contributed what while the group sees one shared balance.

Where does the money actually sit?

Vow will not hold customer funds directly as an unregulated app. The product is being designed to work with appropriately licensed financial infrastructure partners that safeguard and manage the underlying funds while Vow provides the group experience, rules and wallet logic.

Can one person take everyone’s money?

The product is being designed so that one member should not simply have unrestricted control over the entire group balance. Spending permissions and group rules are part of the core product experience.

Can people add money later?

Yes. The product is being designed so members can contribute before the trip and add more later if the group needs it.

What funding methods will be supported?

The planned experience includes convenient methods such as bank transfer, instant bank payments and card-based funding where supported. Exact methods will depend on the regulated partners used for launch.

03

Cards & spending

Does everyone really get their own card?

That is one of Vow’s core ideas. Each eligible member is intended to receive their own virtual payment card connected to the shared group wallet, subject to launch partners and terms.

Will everyone use the same card number?

No. Each member should have their own card credentials while spending from the same group wallet.

Will Vow work with Apple Pay and Google Wallet?

That is part of the planned product experience, subject to the capabilities and approvals of the issuing and payment partners used for launch.

Can I see what everyone spends?

Vow is designed around real-time transparency. Group members should be able to see the wallet balance and activity feed as spending happens.

Can one person spend the entire balance?

Not if the group chooses rules that prevent it. Vow is designed to support limits and approval rules for larger purchases.

04

Rules & approvals

What are group spending rules?

The group can decide how freely members can spend. For example, small purchases could be allowed instantly while larger purchases could require approval from other members.

Give me an example.

A group could choose:

  • under 150 PLN: anyone can spend
  • 150–500 PLN: 2 approvals
  • 500–1,500 PLN: majority approval
  • above 1,500 PLN: stronger group approval

These are examples only. The final product will allow rules that are appropriate for the group.

Does the person who creates the wallet control everything?

Our product direction is the opposite. Vow is being designed around group governance rather than permanent creator control. The exact legal structure will depend on the partner setup, but the intended experience is that important rules are agreed by the group.

Can the group change rules later?

That is part of the planned experience. Rule changes can be treated as group decisions instead of one person silently changing everything.

What happens if someone wants to make a large purchase?

If the purchase exceeds the group’s limit, the member can request approval before paying. Once the required number of people approves, the purchase can be unlocked for a limited period or amount.

05

After the trip

What happens to money that is left over?

The group chooses the rule.

Possible options include:

  • return what is left based on each person’s contribution
  • split the remaining balance equally
  • use a custom rule agreed by the group
If I contributed more, can I get more back?

The planned experience lets a group choose contribution-based handling of what remains, with Vow tracking the proportions. Exact return mechanics will depend on launch partners and terms.

Can we choose to split everything equally instead?

Yes. The group can choose an equal split if that is what everyone prefers.

Can the group decide its own rule?

That is one of the core principles of Vow: your group, your money, your rules.

06

Safety & trust

Is Vow a bank?

No. Vow is being designed as the product and technology layer for group money, with the underlying account, safeguarding, card issuing and payments intended to be provided through appropriately licensed partners.

Will Vow see my full card number?

The product architecture is being designed to minimize sensitive card-data exposure and rely on appropriate payment infrastructure wherever possible.

What happens if my phone or card is lost?

The planned product includes card freezing and account security controls so a member’s card can be disabled without affecting the whole group wallet.

Can someone leave the group?

Yes, although leaving a wallet with money in it needs clear rules. The final product will define how remaining economic ownership and active card permissions are handled fairly.

What happens if there is a refund?

The planned experience would return eligible refunds to the group wallet while Vow keeps track of who made the original transaction. Exact mechanics will depend on launch terms.

07

Early access

Can I use Vow today?

Not yet. Vow is currently being developed and we are selecting the first groups for early access.

Will you take money when I join the waitlist?

No. Joining early access does not create a live wallet and no money is collected.

Who will get beta access first?

We will prioritize groups actively planning real trips and willing to help us test the experience.

How do I join?

Join the waitlist with your email. When the first beta groups are selected, we’ll contact eligible users with the next steps.
